Job description

We are looking for an experienced Infrastructure Architect to join a FTSE100 firms here in the Midlands. The company are proud of their internal culture and have a great track record for helping staff grow and develop. As a result of an internal move they are looking for an Infrastructure Architect with a pretty broad and varied area of knowledge including IP, Ethernet, routing, and switching within LAN / WAN / Data Centre / Public Cloud environments, as well as Network Protocols (BGP, OSPF, MPLS, EIGRP, etc.). You should have a strong understanding of Software Defined Networks such as Cisco ACI, APIC ACI, MSO.

In addition, you will ideally have experience in cloud infrastructure designs (IaaS and PaaS), with a preference for MS Azure. You should be experienced in network security products, for example, Firewalls, IPS / IDS, VPN, and other network security technologies. Great communication skills are key, you must be comfortable working with stakeholders of all levels as well as working with third parties. Your expertise and knowledge will be valued across the team and its highly likely you will at times be called upon to support and assist more junior members of the Infrastructure Team.

The core focus of the role will be to design, develop and implement infrastructure architecture strategies and solutions. You will collaborate with stakeholders to ensure infrastructure solutions are aligned with business needs and objectives and then communicate with relevant teams and partners. The work will vary but typically you will be designing and deploying infrastructure solutions in LAN / WAN / Data Centre / Public Cloud environments.

The office is based in Northampton and the team split their time equally between here and working from home. The client offer a strong benefits package including a 5 figure annual bonus, private medical care and generous pension contribution.
