Our client is one of the largest family farming groups in South Australia and New South Wales. They are currently on the lookout for multiple experienced Heavy Diesel and Motor Mechanics to join their successful team in South Australia. The role will include assisting the workshop with mechanical repairs on all brands of vehicles and machinery.
Duties & Responsibilities
The Heavy Diesel and Motor Mechanic will be responsible for diagnostic and repair work on both heavy and light vehicles.
ABOUT THE POSITION
The Heavy Diesel and Motor Mechanic is responsible for service, maintenance and repair work on both heavy and light vehicles
Key responsibilities include :
- Ensure reactive and preventative maintenance, servicing and repair requirements are met in accordance with maintenance schedules (including oil changes, transmission fluids, air filters, tire changes etc.)
- Identify, test and repair different types of mechanical and electrical failures on vehicle
engines, and machinery.
Fault diagnostics and testing partsPerforming repairs and replacing defective worn or partsDismantling and removing engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms and other components, and checking partsReassembling engines and parts after repair Qualifications required :Experience within a similar roleQualified mechanic (AQF certificate III or equivalent)At least 3 years of fulltime experienceHave a good eye for detailMust have intermediate or above computer skillsDemonstrated ability to work cohesively as part of a teamWell developed communication and interpersonal skillsMust be able to comply with all OHS policies and procedures.Be motivated and able to achieve targetsAn attractive remuneration will be based upon applicant's experience.
This is offered at basic salary of between $ 80,000 - $ 100,000 p.a + Superannuation
