Reception Supervisor

Mission : To supervise the daily shift on Reception,

ensuring all Receptionists and Cashiers carry out all duties  to the required standards and that all guests

are attended to with the utmost courtesy.

Responsibilities

will include, but are not limited to :

  • Acting as a Duty Manager in the absence of senior management
  • Overseeing the Front Office operation, ensuring a smooth and efficient service
  • Handling escalated guest issues, coordinates with other departments and takes charge in emergencies or special situations
  • Observing and ensuring that all staff on duty are aware of the
  • security, health and safety regulations.

  • Supervising and organising all staff on the duty shift, affording
  • maximum desk coverage at all times. Ensuring that all meal breaks are taken.

  • Ensuring that all special requests for regular
  • guests, VIP's and groups are actioned with guidance from the

    Reception Management team.

  • Making all staff on duty aware of the daily availability and
  • overbooked situations if applicable.

  • Assisting the Reception Management team in the implementation of new
  • procedures and coordination of training.

  • Ensuring the hotel’s credit procedure is adhered to at
  • all times, with guidance from the Reception Management team if required.

  • Keeping in close contact with Housekeeping and Concierge throughout
  • the shift to follow through on all special requests made.

    What are we looking for?

  • Minimum 2 years of experience
  • in a related activity

  • Fluency in English
  • Spanish knowledge would be a
  • plus

  • Knowledge of the Opera  system.
  • Availability to work any day of the week, inlcuding weekends and Bank Holidays
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including early, middle and late shifts is expected
  • There may be an occasional requirement to cover night shifts if necessary
