M&E Project Manager

Salary : £75,000 + Travel + Bonus

Job Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced M&E Project Manager to oversee a variety of high-profile projects across Essex and London. The projects include commercial office fit-outs, school developments, residential flats, and retail units, with contract values ranging from £650,000 to £4.5 million. This role offers the chance to work with a well-established company that is known for delivering high-quality mechanical and electrical services across both public and private sectors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage projects from the initial tender stage through to completion and handover.
  • Appoint and manage sub-contractors, negotiate packages, and build detailed project budgets to ensure the projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Produce comprehensive labour programmes, procurement schedules, and material buying lists to ensure timely delivery of materials and resources for the project.
  • Monitor progress and address any day-to-day site issues, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and technical specifications.
  • Liaise with specialist contractors to resolve problems on-site.
  • Produce and update RAMS, issue relevant permits, deliver daily briefings, and manage toolbox talks to ensure site safety and compliance.
  • Collaborate with the main contractor to monitor progress, raise design concerns, and manage variations effectively.
  • Produce weekly progress reports and submit valuations for sub-contractor payments.
  • Oversee commissioning activities and ensure all required documentation is completed for project handover.
