Job summary

This is an exciting opportunity for a care coordinator / HCA to join our happy, friendly team.

We are looking for someone to join our nursing team who can show an interest in caring for our more frail patients, including those who have a learning disability. General HCA duties would also be required.

Main duties of the job

The main duties of the role would be Frailty reviews, learning disability health checks, mental health physical reviews, phlebotomy, ECG's and other more general HCA duties

About us

We are a happy friendly practice with 4 GP partners. Our main surgery is based in Cam and our branch surgery, which includes our dispensary, is based in Uley. Our team consists of GP's, Nurses, Health Care assistants, a pharmacist, a paramedic and dispensary staff. We also have 3 GP assistants and a fully supportive administrative team. We are a teaching practice for medical students and GP trainees and are positive about training our staff for the future.

Job responsibilities

Working within our nursing team, looking after our frail patients and those who require extra support including mental health and learning disability health checks, the job would also require general HCA duties including phlebotomy, ECG's, simple dressings and associated tasks. Training will be given to the right candidate.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Educated to GCSE level with a pass in English and Maths or equivalent

Desirable
