Job description

Role : Science Teacher

Location : Farnborough, Hampshire

Salary : £30,000 - £46,535 per annum (Depending on experience)

Start : Immediate

Contract : Full-time, Permanent

If so, GSL Education seeks a motivated Science Teacher to join a mainstream secondary school in Farnborough . Whether you are an experienced teacher, ECT, overseas-trained teacher, or an experienced TA looking to transition into teaching , we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities :

  • Plan and deliver engaging Science lessons (Biology, Chemistry, and / or Physics) following the national curriculum.
  • Inspire and motivate students to develop a love for Science and achieve academic success.
  • Differentiate lessons to cater to the diverse needs and abilities of students.
  • Assess, monitor, and provide feedback on student progress, ensuring high educational standards.
  • Maintain a positive and structured classroom environment that fosters learning and development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support student learning and share best teaching practices.
  • Uphold school policies, including safeguarding and behaviour management.

Requirements :

  • QTS, ECT, or overseas equivalent (applications from experienced TAs considering teaching are also welcomed).
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Science education.
  • Ability to engage and inspire students of all abilities.
  • Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive learning environment.
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development and contribution to the school community.
  • Have an  updated CV  (covering the last ten years, barring any unexplained gaps) and an  enhanced DBS  registered to the  update service  (or be willing to apply for one).
