Are you looking to make a difference as a Supply Teaching Assistant in Schools in Blackwood?We have a fantastic opportunity to work within a few schools that are focused on growing their team. The schools are located in the Blackwood area and are looking for teaching assistants to work with ALN children across the school. Due to the needs of these pupils, previous experience working with Autism or additional learning needs is preferred, but not essential. This is for full-time and Part-time roles, working between Monday to Friday and possibly on a long-term basis for the right candidate. As a Welsh Government framework staffing provider, we will give you the opportunity to work in Primary, Secondary and SEN schools as well as numerous privately run education provisions across Wales Overview : Title : Teaching AssistantMinimum Pay : £90.00 with no payroll charges Location : BlackwoodHours : Between Monday to Friday 830am - 330pm The role : What you'll be doing as a Teaching AssistantSupporting and supervising activities within the classroomHelping learners stay on task and understand lessonsWork in partnership with other members of staffWorking with learners in small groups / and or working 1 : 1 with learners with additional needsSupport the class teacher in the delivery of the lessonsAssist learners at break time with their lunch, where neededEngage learners in the classroom and out of classroom activitiesWork in accordance with the school's behaviour management policies The ideal candidate will possess : Experience working or volunteering with children with SENProactive work ethic A good understanding of special educational needsThe ability to provide a range of support to pupilsA patient and understanding attitudeThe ability to work as part of a team The start time is 8.30 am and you will finish at 3.30 pm, with 30 minutes for lunch.
