School Catering Assistant

We are seeking a reliable, enthusiastic, and hardworking Catering Assistant to join our clients dedicated kitchen team. You will help prepare and serve nutritious, balanced meals to pupils and staff, ensuring high standards of hygiene and food safety are maintained at all times.Key Responsibilities : Assist in the preparation, cooking, and serving of school mealsMaintain cleanliness of the kitchen, equipment, and dining areasFollow food hygiene and health & safety guidelines at all timesSupport with setting up and clearing down the dining area before and after lunchHelp with stock rotation and basic food storage tasksEngage positively with children and staff during serviceWork as part of a team under the direction of the Catering Manager / CookRequirements : Previous experience in a catering or food service role (preferred, but not essential)Basic Food Hygiene Certificate (preferred)Working Hours : Monday - Friday, 9 : 30am to 1 : 30pm - This position will only be during the school term time.
