Job descriptionBasic : £17.00 Overtime after 8 hours : £25.50 Saturday : £25.50 Sunday : £34.00 Bank Holiday : £34.00 Delivering most building materials and home interior improvements products (not bathrooms and kitchens) Operate and drive various Class 2 vehicles in a safe and efficient manner to and from delivery locations Operating a HIAB / lorry-mounted crane safely and efficiently Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections Ensure all cargo is loaded and secured properly Adhere to traffic laws and regulations Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers Report any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management Assist with loaded and unloading of cargo as needed Must be able to work as a team Have a minimum of 24 months continuous experience driving Category C vehicles No more than six penalty points for minor infringements and no major endorsement codes HIAB (ALLMI) Qualification Card Must be able to use PDA (personal digital assistant) Hold a valid UK Category C Licence Hold a valid UK CPC Card and UK Digi Card Must be able to speak and read a good level of English Punctuality and excellent time keeping skills Have a good understanding of traffic laws and regulations Effective communication skills Experience driving any commercial vehicles would be beneficial Previous experience with multi drop deliveries will be beneficial Six-hour online training must be completed before attending assessment Driver's Assessment will have to be completed After successful Assessment, there will be an on-the-job training
