Job description

Pest Control Operative

We currently have an exciting vacancy for a Pest Control Operative to join our busy Pest Control team based within our Animal and Plant Logistics Team.

The role :

  • To undertake all jobs, duties and tasks set out by the Assistant Team Manager (ATM) Pest control. Working on all pest control operations across the site.
  • To work alongside the ATM, controlling the storage and buying of all pest control equipment, supplies and tools.
  • To complete all pest control paperwork alongside the ATM Pest Control.
  • To carry out pest treatments and ensure they are carried out in line with the correct health and safety protocols
  • Complete the pest elements of the EHO inspections of all food outlets across site.
  • Be the point of contact for all pest enquires across site when the ATM is not on site.
  • Design and undertake pest proofing across site.
  • Use skills and knowledge to advise on all pest issues across site.
  • Operate in a variety of unique environments

The Package

  • Full time, permanent contract
  • 40 hours per week, worked 10 days out of 14, including weekends and Bank Holidays as rostered.

    • The ideal candidate will :

  • Be qualified to BPCA Level 2 minimum.
  • Possess excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Be hard working, trustworthy, independent and with good organisational skills.
  • Hold a full, clean driving licence.
  • Have experience in customer relations
  • Experience working in a hospitality environment and with associated pest control measures
  • Competent in the use of Microsoft Office
