Job Title :   Trainee Inspection and Enforcement Officer

Salary Range-  Scale – £, - £,

Permanent, Full Time

Objective of role

We are looking to recruit three enthusiastic trainee Inspectors / Inspectors (according to experience), within our Inspection and Enforcement team.

About the role

The roles will be predominantly working on Street Works / NRSWA inspections and associated work, but officers will be fully trained to conduct programmed highways inspections and highways enforcement and enforcement of waste management legislation, along with other tasks.

Essential Qualifications, Skills and Experience

Confidence in using computer systems including MS Office software are essential, as is the ability to deal sensitively with residents, councilors, utility companies and other statutory bodies with the highest standard of customer care in potentially confrontational situations.

You must be assertive with good people skills and have a pragmatic approach to problem solving and conflict resolution.

You must have the ability to gain knowledge of the following :

New Roads and Street Works Act , the Traffic Management Act ; the Control of Pollution Act ; the Refuse Disposal (Amenity) Act ; the Environmental Protection Act ; The Highways Act ; The Clean Neighbourhood and Environment Act ; the Town and Country Planning Act; the London Local Authorities Act and Borough Byelaws
