How does this role contribute to our collective success?
This role presents the opportunity to join a leading cyber insurer in a senior claims handling capacity.As a senior claims specialist, the successful applicant will be a key member of the team not only handling complex cyber and tech E&O claims, most often in a lead capacity, but also providing assistance and mentoring to more junior members of the team.Alongside this, the successful applicant should have a keen interest in cyber and work closely with the Head of Cyber Claims International, to report on cyber claims themes and developments affecting both AXIS and the cyber insurance market as a whole.
What will you do in this role?
Handle cyber claims for a broad range of clients worldwide, written in the Global Cyber & Technology unit and reporting to the Head of Cyber Claims International.
Work closely with clients, TPA service providers, external legal advisors and specialist vendors, market leaders and brokers, ensuring a premier claims service to clients is maintained.
The candidate will be accustomed to either handling or broking cyber claims and will have a working appreciation of the practical application of first and third party cyber coverages, reserving evaluations, cyber risk management considerations and, the roles and responsibilities of the various vendors typically engaged following a cyber incident.
Handle Lloyd’s syndicate as well as company claims.
Assist and oversee complex cases with more junior colleagues.
Liaise with respective underwriters on wording / policy issues, vendor expert panels, provide claims information and attend client meetings as appropriate.
Identify and analyse legal and market developments and report those developments and their potential impact to relevant stakeholders.
Provide claims intelligence and feedback on vendors to the Cyber Risk Advisory team and Incident Commander, and assist in various related projects as necessary.
You may also be required to take on additional duties, responsibilities and activities appropriate to the nature of this role.
About You :

What you need to have :
An understanding of the London Market in the relevant classes of business.
Specific and related technical cyber experience.
A good understanding of claims handling practices, procedures and techniques.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to liaise with customers, other relevant stakeholders and service providers.
Good independent organisational skills.
Good technical proficiency with Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
What we prefer you to have :
Ideally will have worked in a syndicate or company in a lead capacity, or at a broker as a claims advocate / negotiator and gained sufficient practical experience in the marketplace to independently perform the above duties and responsibilities.
Knowledge of CLASS / ECF2 preferable.
Legal and / or professional qualification an advantage but not essential.
Experience in TPA management and oversight.
