The ExtraCare Charitable Trust are recruiting for a dedicated part time Sales Assistant to work alongside the shop team, at our Charity Shop in our Fulwood store, based in Preston .

Role Details

  • Role : Sales Assistant – Part - Time
  • Hours : 8 hours per week
  • Salary : £11.47per hour (£4,784pa, pro rata of FTE)
  • Location : Unit 7, Fulwood Central, Oliver’s Place, Fulwood, Preston, PR2 9BQ

    What will you do as our Sales Assistant?

  • Achieve maximum sales at all times.
  • Deliver and maintain a high standard of customer service.
  • Ensure high standards of merchandising and cleanliness are maintained throughout the shop.
  • Support the shop / deputy manager to actively promote the Gift Aid scheme adhering to the policies, work instructions and HMRC guidelines.
  • Ensure all stock is consistently priced in line with policy.
  • Ensure there are adequate stock levels on the shop floor and that stock is rotated according to company guidelines.
  • Assist in the day-to-day supervision of volunteers.
  • Assist in the recruitment and training of volunteers.

    • Our ideal Sales Assistant :

  • Will ideally have previous retail experience and experience of cash handling.
  • Have knowledge / experience of administrative duties.
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Be a team player with good organisational skills.
  • IT literate and numerate, plus good communication skills
