Job description

Job Title : KS3 SEN Outreach Tutor

Location :

East of England, Essex, Wickford

Job Type : Temporary, Part-Time

Salary : 20 - £30 Per hour

Job Duties :

  • Provide one-to-one tutoring for Key Stage 3 students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in an outreach capacity
  • Create individualised lesson plans based on students' learning needs and goals
  • Implement differentiated teaching strategies to support students with diverse learning styles
  • Assess student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly
  • Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other professionals to ensure holistic support for students

Required Qualifications :

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience working with students with Special Educational Needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Education :

    Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant field

    Experience :

    Proven experience in delivering tailored teaching to students with SEN

    Knowledge and Skills :

  • Understanding of SEN provisions and strategies
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Postgraduate qualification in Special Educational Needs
  • Experience in conducting assessments and creating Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Working Conditions :

    The role involves working part-time hours on a temporary basis, providing outreach tutoring to Key Stage 3 students with SEN in the East of England. Collaboration with parents, teachers, and other professionals is essential to ensure comprehensive support for students.

    All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
