Job summary

Are you an aspiring chef who is passionate about customer service?

As a Commis Chef, we have a great opportunity to work in a team providing the highest quality of food for patients and staff. In this role you will be able to learn and develop your skills whilst maintaining a work life balance.

This is a full-time position, working hours per week with shifts between the hours of 07 : 30 and 20 : 30 with some weekend working involved.

Main duties of the job

  • To plan, prepare and cook menu items as directed by the Sous Chef / Head Chef.
  • To assist with stock taking when required.
  • To carry out the smooth and efficient running of your section as appropriate.
  • To ensure that customers are given a prompt and efficient service
  • To provide a friendly, efficient and hygienic service to all customers.

    Role Responsibilities include :

  • Person Specification :

    Essential Experience

  • Customer Service experience
  • Ability to communicate in basic written and spoken English.
  • Good organisational skills
  • Numerate (counting cash till may be required)
  • Desirable Experience

  • Food Hygiene certificate
  • Ability to show a passion for food and service
  • Ability to plan ahead and use initiative
  • Keen to continue self-development within current role and ambition for further promotion or growth
