The government has asked us to consider how we expand DCMSs expertise on the impact economy to support wider HMG departments and missions, and think about how we can grow the UKs impact economy further and partner more effectively with it. The impact economy encompasses the many philanthropists, impact investors and purpose driven-businesses who want to deliver impact and social good alongside financial goals.
This is one of two roles that will be leading and operationalising a strategic approach across HMG. Ministers are being consulted through the Spending Review on the objectives and approach, and this role will help finalise that process. We also need to engage with the impact economy actors and other government officials.
Exact objectives depend upon the outcome of the Spending Review, and will also need to be split with another Grade 6 in the team which will also factor in personal preferences, but will include some or all of :

If the vacancy is offered as FTA / Loan, existing Civil Servants must join on a Loan basis only. Prior agreement to be released on loan must be obtained before commencing the application process.
