Principal Planning Policy Consultant

I am working with a client in the West Midlands who are seeking an interim Principal Policy Planner to join the team to work on various Strategic Plans within the Council.

Initially a 6-month Contract, they require somebody who can hit the ground running in leading the process from their perspective to represent them whilst working alongside neighbouring Councils.

Not only is previous experience required in having delivered Local / Strategic Plans, but it is paramount you have a proactive and innovative approach to Planning and the issues surrounding Policy specifically.

My client would be particularly keen to speak with people with experience handling Housing Land Supply concerns.

The role is remote based, with one day a week in the office.

With regards to rate, my client has left it completely open at this stage as it will be dictated by level of experience and ability. However, it will most likely fall within £50 and £55 an hour.

This is a genuinely exciting opportunity to work within a progressive and innovative Planning Policy Team, impacting the formulation of a Local Plan that will impact thousands of people.
