Fire Alarm Engineer

Fortus Recruitment are a recruitment company that specialise in placing people within the repairs & maintenance industry We are currently working on behalf of a Local Authority.My Client is currently looking for a Fire Alarm Engineer for a Permanent position to carry out work in domestic properties covering North West London and surrounding areas.The purpose of this role is to provide maintenance and servicing of life safety equipment, emergency light and smoke vent systems, in accordance with all current British & European standards, in accordance with BS5839 standards.Key Duties and Responsibilities : Provide day to day planned and reactive maintenance of contractsServicing and maintenance of emergency lighting systemsTo respond to emergency call-outs and carry out any remedial works as requiredCarry out asset verificationInstall replacement / additional equipmentTake part in the on-call rotaConduct site surveys as requiredSupporting the development of apprenticesTo always act in a professional and diligent manor, considering the need of the clientsRequired Skills and experience : Previous Fire Maintenance experienceGood understanding of the British Standards BS 5839 and BS 5266.FIA units (1,3,5)Driving LicenceWorking Environment : This is operational site-based position and involves collaborating closely with the support service team. While also engaging with our clients. Expect a dynamic and fast paced work setting that combines on site work with on-going communication with office-based colleagues.
