Job description

Job Title : Secondary SEN Tutor

Location : South East England, Surrey, Leatherhead

Job Type : Temporary, Part-Time

Salary : £20 - £30 Per hour

Skills : SEN experience

Job Duties :

  • Provide tailored support to secondary students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
  • Deliver individualised tutoring sessions based on students' learning needs
  • Develop and implement personalised learning plans
  • Monitor and assess student progress regularly
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure holistic support

Required Qualifications :

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant qualification
  • Experience working with students with SEN
  • Knowledge of SEN strategies and interventions
  • Education :

  • Bachelor's degree in Education or related field
  • Experience :

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role
  • Knowledge and Skills :

  • Strong understanding of SEN principles and best practises
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs
  • Organisational and time-management skills
  • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Postgraduate qualification in Special Education Needs
  • Experience using assistive technology in teaching
  • Working Conditions :

  • Part-time hours, flexible schedule
  • Work in a school setting with students
  • Potential travel to different school locations within the area

    All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
