Location : Stalybridge, Greater Manchester

Contract Type : Full-time, Permanent

Salary : Competitive, dependent on experience

Start Date : January 2025 (or sooner)

They are now looking for a passionate and dynamic Head of Mathematics to lead and inspire their fantastic Maths department.

The Role :

As Head of Mathematics, you will take on a key leadership role, overseeing the Maths department and ensuring the delivery of an outstanding curriculum to students from Years 7 to 11. You will have the opportunity to shape the future of Mathematics education in the school, driving high standards and fostering a love of the subject.

Your responsibilities will include :

  • Leading the Maths department and managing a team of dedicated staff.
  • Developing and implementing an inspiring curriculum that meets the needs of all students.
  • Monitoring and raising achievement, ensuring that student outcomes are maximized.
  • Providing high-quality professional development and support for staff.
  • Promoting a positive culture of learning and high expectations.
  • Contributing to the strategic leadership and vision of the school.

The Person :

Kat at Aspire People is seeking an experienced and motivated individual who :

  • Holds a relevant teaching qualification and has QTS.
  • Has a proven track record of success in teaching Mathematics at secondary level.
  • Possesses excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrates the ability to inspire, motivate, and develop others.
  • Has a deep understanding of the current educational landscape, including the curriculum and assessment requirements.
  • Is committed to continuous improvement and high standards.
