Job description

Are you an experienced Financial Controller seeking a new challenge? Ready to make a significant impact on the financial success of a growing global organisation? We have an exciting opportunity for you to join a close-knit team as a Senior Financial Expert!

You will be ensuring the smooth running of the 4 UK group businesses reporting to a CFO (overseas) and 2x Managing Directors (UK).

Responsibilities :

  • Lead and supervise a team of accountants and financial assistants, providing guidance, feedback, and motivation.
  • Ensure the smooth running of our client's group of 4 businesses and any new additions.
  • Make financial decisions that will drive revenue and profit growth, working closely with the management team.
  • Develop and implement effective accounting processes, tools, and organisation across the various companies.
  • Monitor financial performance, identify trends, and provide accurate forecasts.
  • Manage cash flow through close tracking of transactions and reviewing internal reports.
  • Ensure compliance with government regulations and financial reporting guidelines.
  • Develop budgets and financial plans based on thorough research and data analysis.
  • Review financial plans and budgets regularly to identify cost reduction opportunities.
  • Provide timely and accurate financial information to relevant stakeholders.
  • Prepare monthly financial management reports and conduct weekly meetings to discuss department performance.
  • Communicate financial data to non-financial managers in a clear and concise manner.

Requirements :

  • Professional qualifications in accounting, such as FMAAT and ACCA Finalist.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a business or finance / accounting environment or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a management role.
  • Strong leadership skills to motivate and guide a team.
  • Excellent mathematical skills and attention to detail.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organisational, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Research and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in computer skills.
  • Reliable, honest with high integrity
  • Location : Irlam

    Contract Type : Permanent, Full-Time

    Working Hours : 9 : 00am - 5 : 00pm Monday - Friday (Hybrid-flexible, working 2 days per week from home)

    Salary : Dependent on candidate experience
