We are looking for compassionate and committed Healthcare Assistants in Didsbury, who are passionate about delivering the highest quality one-to-one care for our service user building positive relationships with them and their family while enabling them to live as independently as possible in their own home.
Our service user is a gentleman in his 60s who lives in Didsbury and requires support throughout the day on a 1 to1 basis to support his complex care and clinical care needs.
He is a very sociable character who loves to engage in activities within the community as much as possible, including socializing in his local pub, eating out with friends and his care team, and simply experiencing as much as possible.
He is a successful businessman and an active campaigner for access to the community for people with disabilities, he was previously awarded an MBE for his services to disabled people in 2004.
He's a big fan of football and regularly enjoys attending the Manchester United home games with the support from his care team.
As part of his dedicated team, you will be required to assist him with all his personal care, moving and handling, meal preparation and attending to his clinical care needs when required.

Job responsibilities
The role of a Healthcare Assistant (HCA) is to work without direct supervision in the home of the service user providing care and support including personal, social, and domestic support whilst adhering to the service users individual care and support plan.
The aim of the position is to enable service users to remain safely in their own home with as much independence as possible.
Alongside providing care and support in a professional, discreet, and caring manner, always ensuring the service users right to privacy and dignity is maintained
