Your role
This is a fantastic opportunity to work within anewly formed specialist UASC and Leaving Care support UASC from their point of entry into Suffolk as well as supporting them through their leaving care journey as young adults.
Join our dynamic team and make a real difference in the lives of unaccompanied care leavers over the age of 18. Your primary role will be to support these young adults with their asylum applications housing training and employment helping them build a brighter future. You will hold case responsibility for these young adults and develop Pathway Plans until at least their 21st Birthday ensuring they have the guidance they need every step of the way.
Youll receive regular supervision from experienced managers or senior social workers collaborate with a passionate team and attend engaging team meetings. Plus youll have opportunities for shadowing to broaden your understanding of UASC and care leaver protocols.
Your responsibilities
You will undertake Regular welfare visits and chair Pathway Review meetings to manage and assess risk or any unmet needs relating housing; education / employment; finances health and their asylum application.
Providing advice and guidance on all these subjects will help your clients form secure foundations in their local community and increase their chances of living independently.

We are a newly formed team with a specialism in Immigration mission is to help vulnerable people overcome adversity and also facilitate our clients asylum applications in hope of gaining their legal status to remain in the UK.
Everyone in the team is passionate and driven to help young people rebuild their lives after experienced atrocities clients arrive here unaccompanied and often without the ability to speak makes them particularly vulnerable to exploitation and discrimination.
