The Role :

We are seeking a dedicated SEMH TA to work at a welcoming SEN School based in King's Lynn. As an SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in supporting students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs. You will work closely with teachers to deliver tailored interventions and provide one-on-one or small group support to help students achieve their full potential.

Your Responsibilities :

  • Supporting students in their academic and personal development
  • Implementing individualised learning plans
  • Providing emotional and behavioural support
  • Collaborating with teachers, parents, and other professionals
  • Promoting positive behaviour and self-esteem

Requirements :

  • Previous experience working with children with SEMH needs (desirable but not essential)
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
  • DBS (or the willingness to apply)
  • A compassionate and patient approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to handle challenging situations with professionalism
  • Relevant qualifications or willingness to undertake training
