Job Advert – Principal Road Safety Engineer (Gloucestershire based Council) Job Title : Principal Road Safety Engineer Location : Gloucestershire Contract : Permanent Salary :  £50,788 - £52,805 per annum Start Date : ASAP About the Role :  Our client based in Gloucestershire is currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Principal Road Safety Engineer to play a leading role in the day-to-day delivery and development of road safety measures across the county. Reporting to the Road Safety Manager, you'll be responsible for managing road safety schemes from inception through to completion, carrying out collision investigations, feasibility studies, and design proposals. The post also includes contributing to the evolution of policy and working closely with partners in the Gloucestershire Road Safety Partnership. Key Responsibilities : Lead delivery of road safety initiatives in line with local and national policy, including the Safe Systems approachAnalyse collision data and carry out detailed feasibility studies and designs for road safety improvementsManage schemes through the full project lifecycleAttend and lead Road Safety Audits (in line with GG119 standards)Act as Team Leader for the Data and Engineering teamProvide expert advice to councillors, stakeholders, and the public on road safety mattersSupervise and support junior team members and assist in team developmentSupport com...
