Interim Senior VAT Manager

LHH Recruitment Solutions are currently supporting a global Oxford based organisation with the recruitment of an Interim Senior Group VAT Manager on an initial 6-month basis (Inside IR35) although there is a strong possibility this role will go permanent. Due to changes within the team and a transformation project across the department, my client is seeking an experienced Senior VAT Manager who can join their team within the next month. Candidates must be confident communicators, with the ability to business partner with Divisional Heads, Group Leadership Team and Technology teams.

Knowledge and expertise within a commercial setting is essential as will a strategic compliance mindset. This role will report directly into the Head of Tax.This is a hybrid position, requiring 2 days in the Oxford based office.

• Experience of working in an Indirect Tax role in a global environment
• Tax or Accountancy qualification- Significant tax technical knowledge of global business
• Expertise in VAT rules including place of supply, exemptions, reverse charge, distance registrations and IOSS etc
• Knowledge of overseas VATs preferably including US state sales taxes and relevant Customs issues
• Strong and effective communication written and verbal skills at all levels of the organisation e.g., business leaders
