CAD Technician

Due to continued growth we are recruiting for a CAD Technician to join an established Manufacturing business based in the Dudley area. The CAD Technician will be assisting the Technical Manager and working as part of a busy team. The ideal candidate will have a good working knowledge of CAD and the ability to read drawings.As the CAD Technician you will be required too :

• Re-engineer existing designs to meet requirements
• Produce designs using Radan to meet product requirements
• Produce detailed manufacturing and customer drawings (assembly drawings, Bills of material)
• Develop prototypes where necessary
• Liaise with Sales & Production departments
• Work closely with the technical manager
• Update and archive documentsRequirements :
• A good working knowledge of CAD and the ability to read drawings
• A good knowledge of the sheet metal process
• Experience of tooling and nesting (turret punch)
• Knowledge of SolidWorks
• HNC / Engineering disciple
• Full driving licence
