A well known, established and modern accountancy firm based in South Manchester that provides a range of general practice services for clients across the UK. This firm has an excellent reputation across the North West with a rich history of supporting a range of owner-managed businesses with a full catalogue of client services. With over 120 staff across two office locations in the North West, they have grown at a good rate in the last 3–5 years, making key hires in strategic areas including taxation, audit, advisory, transformation and corporate finance. Due to continued growth and a strategic plan to grow their tax department, they are looking to bring in an experienced Corporate Senior Manager or Director to help lead their corporate tax portfolio for the firm.
Your new role
As a Corporate Tax Director or Senior Manager, you will be responsible for managing a large and interesting corporate tax portfolio within the firm. A strategic growth area for the business, this firm has traditionally operated as a tax advisory practice. However, due to a new and growing line of work in corporate taxpliance, they are now looking to bring in a corporate tax specialist. You will operate and run this part of the tax team,pleting and reviewing a range ofplex and interesting corporate taxputations. The firm's portfolio is largely owner-managed business, meaning you will get a lot more ownership when ites to client contact. Due to the nature of this firm's portfolio, the corporate tax work itself is very varied, and you will work on similar tax queries andputations to what you would find within larger listed businesses. Along withplex corporate tax work, you will also have the opportunity to build and grow your own team with a natural progression to partner.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will have toe from a strong corporate tax background, having supported businesses with corporate taxpliance work. You will need to be either CTA or ACA / ACCA qualified and be confident to advise on corporate taxpliance matters for UK based OMB clients. Due to the nature of the work, you will likely have experience with a Big 4, Top 10 / 20 or Top 100 accountancy firm in the UK / North West. This role would suit a corporate tax specialist who is passionate aboutpliance and is keen to build their own team and have their own stamp on a tax service.
