Overview : Working alongside our client, an established injection moulding manufacturer, we are looking for a skilled Injection Moulding Lead Setter to join their team at an exciting time of growth for the business.

Remit :

Great opportunity for a skilled Injection Moulding Lead Setter / Technician to join a forward-thinking company at their modern facility during a period of sustained business growth

This position will suit a skilled Mould Setter / Technician with strong injection moulding processing and machinery knowledge

Role :

In the role of Lead Setter you will be responsible for the planning of tool changes in the Mould Shop and undertaking production tool changes

As Lead Setter you will work on new tooling projects for process optimization and an understanding of capability studies and results analysis

The Lead Setter will be responsible for leading teams of Production Operators and temporary staff in the Mould Shop

Maintain accurate and disciplined Quality Assurance Documentation completion in line with production procedures of the Quality Management System

Adjust machine settings, including temperature, pressure and cycle times to ensure optimal performance and product quality

Monitoring equipment, troubleshooting and taking preventative measures to ensure machinery is kept in safe working order

Carry out continuous improvement on cycle times and machine / equipment layouts

Ensuring high standards of housekeeping are maintained

Experience Requirements :

Experience using Arburg / Demag or Haitian machines would be an advantage.

Industry recognized injection moulding qualifications

Fully conversant with injection moulding processes, machinery and tooling

Demonstrable experience of process optimization and troubleshooting

Computer literate with good understanding of Microsoft Excel

Good problem solving skills with ability to work off own initiative

Strong communication skills

Supervisory and leadership skills

A team player with flexibility and ‘can-do’ attitude
