Job description

ITS Traffic Signal Engineer We are looking to appoint an experienced Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) Principal Engineer to support our projects.

You will join our Technology Solutions group within the wider Transportation business unit. and as an experienced colleague you will support with business development with responsibility for project financial and technical delivery.

As part of this role you will undertake the following responsibilities :

  • Undertaking design on projects;
  • Providing technical excellence and safety in design within team deliverables;
  • Managing your input to projects, including delivering to programme and budget;
  • Complying with health, safety and environmental legislation and Jacobs' Health and Safety culture.

About the Opportunity

Jacobs is a market leader in the transportation sector and some of our largest clients include National Highways, Transport Scotland, the Welsh Government and global contractors. Internationally, we work on some of the world's mega projects, for example, the King Salman International Airport.

  • Experience in delivering ITS or Traffic Signal projects
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal);
  • Good understanding of using design standards;
  • Ability to work as a part of team;
  • Membership of a recognised industry Institute / Institution.
