Head of Growth

Head of Growth

Happy DoggoUnited Kingdom
Job description

In early 2023, Happy Doggo was just an idea taking shape in Niall Harbison’s mind : a charity, operating like a startup, working to fix the global street dog problem for good. Fast forward 12 months and we are an official charity, with a global team and a worldwide following. At its core, Happy Doggo will always operate a little differently : instead of showcasing the (very real) suffering of street dogs around the world, we share stories of their incredible resilience, ingenuity, and joy. Our mission is just getting off the ground, and we’re ready to take everything to the next level.

What we're looking for

We are looking for someone to accelerate our growth and put us on track to triple our donations in 2025. We have a great team working on content, and we’ve grown our social following to over 4 million people without spending a cent on paid marketing. We have a fundraising team ready to capitalize on bigger opportunities, and we have the media connections we need to help us get in front of the right people. Now what we need is someone to bring it all together, set smart goals, and pitch in on content creation where needed. This role is 50% managing and 50% executing, so we’re looking for someone who can do both with aplomb.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a growth strategy to help us 10x our donations over the next three years
  • Manage and mentor an in-house marketing and fundraising team of 4-6 people
  • Source and oversee freelancers as required (content writing, web design, etc.)
  • Provide detailed reporting on marketing and fundraising activities
  • Refine the Happy Doggo brand and oversee visual and written brand standards
  • Create marketing assets as required (landing pages, contests, pitch decks, annual reports, etc.)

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a management position within marketing / sales / growth department
  • Excellent excel / data analysis skills
  • Proficiency with a wide range of martech platforms (Webflow, Salesforce / Pardot, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, etc.)
  • Strong eye for design and branding (proficiency with Figma, Canva, Photoshop ideal)
  • Experience working and leading a team remotely
  • Passion for dogs and / or animal rescue (professional experience in this space is a plus!)
