Job role : SEN Teaching Assistant

Location : Bromsgrove B60

Pay rate : £85 - £95 per day

Hours : Full-time / contracts

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for multiple SEN Teaching Assistants to work at multiple schools across Bromsgrove and surrounding areas. The ideal candidate will have experience working on a 1 : 1 and small group basis with students aged 11-18 who may have MLD (mild learning difficulties). The students are all based in mainstreem secondary schools however will require additional support where needed.

Candidate Requirements :

  • A minimum of 5 GCSE's, including English and Maths.
  • Previous expereince working with students aged 11-18 in an educational setting.
  • Strong communication skills, via clear, concise and effective means (verbal and non-verbal).
  • Adaptable and flexible to support the individual needs of the student.
  • Have an Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one.
  • Willing to complete a Level 2 Keeping Children Safe in Education CPD accredited course through Teaching Personnel.

Role Requirements :

  • Working with students who may need 1 : 1 or small group support.
  • Working alongside the classroom teacher to provide a safe and educational enviroment.
  • Assist with before and after school activities where needed.
  • Speak with parents / careers regarding the welfare and progress of students.

    All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
