Location : Cambridge (CB25)

Duration : Permanent

Hours : 8am until 4 : 30pm (Monday to Friday)

Salary : £24,000 - £27,000

Polytec are looking for a Repair Technician for our client based just north of Cambridge. You may be required to visit customer premises to upgrade hardware.

Responsibilities :

Diagnosis and confirmation of Customer reported faults using manual and automated jigs and fixtures
Disassembly and assembly of products and replacement of key components
Inspection of repair work carried out
Use of software tools required for the processing and repair of products
Hardware modifications as part of internal / customer projects
Ensure product turnaround times are met
Training of Internal / External staff

Requirements :

Demonstrable experience in a Repair / Service environment

Soldering of PCB's and mechanical assembly / disassembly of products

Ability to use relevant servicing tools / jigs and fixtures

Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment, as part of a team with minimum supervision

Use of hot air gun to remove and replace components on PCB

Ability to accurately follow work instructions

Highly accurate and keen eye for detail

Familiarity with MS Office (Excel / Word)
