DHL Air (UK) is the largest allcargo air carrier in the UK operating a fleet of B757200 B767300 and B777200 aircraft on worldwide operations. We are seeking a detailoriented and analytical Aircraft Defects Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and reliability of our aircraft by identifying analysing and reporting defects. This position requires a strong understanding of aviation maintenance and engineering principles as well as the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse and evaluate operational aircraft defect reports repetitive defects and maintenance data to identify trends and areas for improvement
  • Collaborate with engineering maintenance and operations teams to investigate defects and recommend corrective actions
  • Maintain accurate records of defect analysis and resolution processes
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations on defect trends root causes and recommendations for management
  • Ensure compliance with aviation regulations and company policies related to aircraft safety and maintenance
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by providing insights based on defect analysis
  • Participate in meetings and discussions with crossfunctional teams to address defectrelated issues
  • Publish weekly / Monthly defect statistics for the DHK wide body fleet to the DHK executive team and stakeholders.

Requirements

  • B1 or B2 Aircraft engineering licence or bachelors degree in aviation Aerospace Engineering or a related field
  • Proven experience in aircraft maintenance engineering or a similar role preferably with B767 and B777 experience
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets
  • Knowledge of aviation regulations and safety standards
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Proficiency in using data analysis software and tools (e.g. Excel databases etc.
  • Detailoriented with strong organizational skills.
