Class 1 Relief Driver

The position of Class 1 Driver involves :

  • This is a permanent full time position to cover holiday and sickness.
  • Collecting and delivering customers products on a curtain sided trailer, this will include a great deal of load security using ratchet straps.
  • Delivering loads throughout the UK both full and groupage loads.
  • Using a handheld PDA to complete paperwork.
  • Dealing with customers face to face and over the phone.
  • Keeping in regular contact with the transport team for updates on progress and managing

our customers’ expectations.

  • Attending regular training sessions.
  • A flexible approach is required as the position will involve covering both day and night work.
  • This position may also involve tramping where you will be required to spend nights away.

    • Essential skills required for Class 1 Driver :

  • Must hold a UK Class 1 CE Licence.
  • Hold a current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
  • Be passionate about providing excellent customer service.
  • Working to deadlines.
  • Confident, polite and a team player.
  • Good geographical knowledge.
  • Due to the nature of the role applicants must be fit, flexible, hardworking and self-motivated.
