Steer Automotive Group is a rapidly expanding automotive repair business, renowned for delivering exceptional quality and service. As part of our continued growth, we are seeking a highly skilled Panel Technician to join our team at Steer Grays.

Role Overview

As a Regional Panel Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out high-quality panel repairs and replacements on a variety of vehicles. Your role will require flexibility and adaptability as you travel between our sites, ensuring that all work meets our strict standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform panel repairs and replacements to a high standard, including welding and alignment.
  • Assess damage and determine the appropriate repair methods.
  • Work closely with other technicians and site managers to ensure efficient workflow.
  • Maintain a high standard of workmanship, adhering to manufacturer and industry guidelines.
  • Ensure that all health and safety regulations are followed in the workplace.
  • Keep accurate records of work performed and parts used.
  • Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Panel Technician in the automotive repair industry.
  • Expertise in panel beating, welding, and vehicle body repairs.
  • Understanding of vehicle structures and repair techniques.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Relevant qualifications in vehicle body repair (., NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
