Are you looking to ignite an exciting career within the education sector? If you are a fully qualified English Teacher / Tutor / Higher Level Teaching Assistant who is looking to work on a part-time basis in the Northumberland area , then this role may be for you!

For this role, we are looking for a English Specialist. In this position, you will need to be able to build a relationship with these students to help tailor your approach to cater for their additional needs and preferences. In addition to this, these Y10 / Y11 students are needing catch up help as well as GCSE support, so a patient and motivated individual is required for this post.

The pay for tutoring is £25-£30 per hour . It is desirable for the applicants to hold full UK driving licence as a selection of the pupils will need to be tutored within their home / at a local library.

Requirements for the role :

  • Professional Teaching Qualification (Qualified Teacher Status, QTS).
  • An Enhanced Child Workforce only DBS on the update service, or willingness to purchase one via TP Tutors (support for obtaining one can be provided).
  • A strong subject knowledge of the English Curriculum .
  • Experience of working with children / young people with SEND, SEMH and other additional needs.
  • A professional and approachable approach to education and teaching.
  • Willingness to travel between various schools.
  • Professional references from your two most recent employers, totalling 24 months from a 10-year career history.

    All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
