Job Title : Grounds Maintenance Operative

Location : Hainault Forest, UK

Start Date : ASAP

Working Hours : Monday - Friday, 07 : 30 - 16 : 00

Pay Rate : £13.15 per hour

About the Role :

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Grounds Maintenance Operative to join our client's team in Ilford. This position is perfect for someone passionate about creating and maintaining beautiful outdoor spaces. The role involves a variety of tasks that ensure their grounds are presented to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Conduct general maintenance duties including strimming, hedge cutting, blowing, and operating a ride-on mower.
  • Perform detailed landscape maintenance tasks such as edging, grass cutting, weeding, planting trees, shrubs, and seasonal bedding.
  • Carry out pruning activities to maintain the health and aesthetic of plants and trees.
  • Ensure all tasks are completed safely and in accordance with our quality standards.
  • Operate and maintain tools and equipment responsibly.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to ensure all areas of the grounds are well-cared for and presentable.

Requirements :

  • Previous experience in grounds maintenance is essential.
  • Proficiency in using a wide range of landscaping tools and machinery.
  • A strong commitment to safety standards and protocols.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Good physical fitness and the ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
