Primary School Teacher - Darlington

About the Role :

We are looking for a passionate and motivated Primary School Teacher to join our vibrant and dedicated team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning to children in [specific year group or across the school], ensuring that all students thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Key Responsibilities :

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons that cater to the individual needs of all students.
  • Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and respect.
  • Assess and monitor the progress of pupils, providing feedback and support to help them achieve their potential.
  • Work closely with teaching assistants, support staff, and other colleagues to ensure the success of all children.
  • Support the social, emotional, and personal development of children, helping them to grow in confidence and independence.
  • Maintain a high standard of classroom management, using positive strategies to promote good behaviour.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and carers, keeping them informed of their child’s progress.
  • Participate in staff meetings, professional development opportunities, and school events.
  • Contribute to the school’s ethos and values, promoting an inclusive and nurturing learning environment.

About You :

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Strong knowledge of the primary curriculum and best teaching practices.
  • Experience in teaching in a primary school setting (desirable but not essential for NQTs).
  • A passion for working with children and a commitment to their academic and personal development.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • A creative, innovative approach to teaching and learning.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities.
  • A positive, enthusiastic attitude and a genuine desire to make a difference.
