Job description

Teaching Personnel are seeking an excellent Maths Teacher on behalf of one of our partner schools. The successful Maths Teacher would be supported in obtaining an interview and / or trial with the school, with view for a full-time start on April 28

2025.

The school are seeking a fully qualified teacher of Maths to deliver high quality teaching and learning experiences up to KS4 (essential) and KS5 (desirable) to meet the needs of their students and use a range of assessment strategies to ensure progression and achievement of all learners. With the support of the Maths department to plan and design an engaging curriculum.

In order to apply you must be a qualified teacher with a degree in Mathematics or a related subject and have UK recognised Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

General Responsibilities

To teach students according to their educational needs, including the setting and marking of work to be carried out in school and elsewhere.

To assess, record and report on the attendance, punctuality, progress and attainment of students.

To ensure a high quality experience for students this meets internal and external quality standards.

To prepare and update subject materials.

To use a variety of delivery methods which will stimulate learning appropriate to student needs and demands of the syllabus.

To maintain discipline in accordance with the school’s procedures, and to encourage good practice with regard to attendance, punctuality, behaviour, standards of work and homework.

To undertake assessment of students as requested by external examination bodies, departmental and school procedures.

Pastoral Responsibilities

To be a Form Tutor to an assigned group of students.

To promote the general progress and well-being of individual students and of the Form Tutor Group as a whole.

To liaise with a Head of Year to ensure the implementation of the school’s Pastoral System.

To register students, accompany them to assemblies, encourage their full attendance at all lessons and their participation in other aspects of school life, in particular out of school hours learning opportunities.
