Job summary
CHfW scrub practitioner :
The scrub practitioner will prepare all the necessary instruments and equipment for surgery, including microscopes, lasers and endoscopes, providing the correct surgical instruments and materials to the surgeon. Be responsible for all surgical instruments, equipment and swabs during the operation and act as a link between the surgical team and other members of the perioperative team. This role can be undertaken by an NMC registered nurse or HCPC registered ODP.

You will be constantly supported by the Theatre Practice Education team, who will help with your continuous professional development both departmentally and up to and including Masters level study. You will get bespoke induction training, including a supernumerary rotation programme. You will be based at the University Hospital of Wales and will be able to rotate into any of our Theatre areas / sites, as service demands dictate.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and / or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
