We are currently working with a school based in Clapham and they are looking for an experenced LSA on a full time basis, to start in April 2025.About the Role : We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to provide 1 : 1 support for a child in Reception class. The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher and SENCo to support the child's learning, engagement, and emotional well-being, helping them to develop their independence and access the curriculum effectively.Key Responsibilities :
- Provide individualised support to the child, adapting activities and teaching strategies to meet their learning needs.
- Implement and follow structured routines to support attention, focus, and engagement.
- Use a range of visual, sensory, and interactive learning methods to enhance the child's understanding and participation.
- Support the child in developing early literacy and numeracy skills, fine and gross motor skills, and social interactions.
- Encourage and promote positive behaviour, using appropriate strategies to manage attention difficulties.
- Assist with transitions between activities and provide reassurance during changes in routine.
