JOB- Junior Production Engineer

LOCATION- Aylesford

TERM- Permanent

SALARY- £28,000 to £35,000 per annum (plus benefits)

Premier Engineering is seeking a Junior Production Engineer to join a leading manufacturing company in Aylesford. This role is ideal for an ambitious engineer looking to gain hands-on experience in production processes, ERP / MRP systems, and process improvement within a fast-paced environment.

The Junior Production Engineer will ideally have the following attributes :

A degree or HND / HNC in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Production Engineering (or equivalent experience)
Experience or knowledge of ERP / MRP systems for production planning and inventory management
Understanding of manufacturing processes, machining, and fabrication techniques
Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar)
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
A proactive approach with a keen interest in process improvement and lean manufacturing
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
Good communication skills and attention to detail
Awareness of health and safety regulations in a manufacturing environment

The Junior Production Engineer role will involve :

Assisting in the implementation and optimization of ERP / MRP systems for production planning

Supporting the engineering team in improving manufacturing processes and workflows

Creating and maintaining technical documentation and manufacturing instructions

Identifying areas for cost reduction, waste minimization, and efficiency improvements

Assisting with new product introduction into the production process

Collaborating with production teams to troubleshoot and resolve engineering issues

Ensuring compliance with industry and company quality standards

Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing projects
