Centre Manager    Contract : Full-time, Permanent Location : Birmingham (Stechford) Hours :   37.5 hrs per week, Mon-Fri, 8.30 am  4.30 pm Salary : £26,000 - £35,000 per year (depending on experience & qualifications)    Ready for the next step in your career? This is a management role, where you will be reporting to the Regional Manager. You may also be required to travel to different centres to support colleagues, a driving licence and your own car would be required. Nova Training is one of the UK’s most popular and experienced training providers operating for over 30 years in Study Programmes and Apprenticeships. Nova now operates its 14-24 provision from 13 locations located across the West Midlands and East of England. Our programme delivery now includes; 16-18 study programmes, pre-apprenticeships, provision for learners with high needs, apprenticeships and 14-16 alternative provision. Rated as Good by Ofsted in all areas of provision for offering a variety of education options to young people. The purpose of the Centre Manager is to be responsible for the planning, organising and coordinating of the daily operations of the centre. Key Responsibilities : To maintain optimum occupancy on all current programmes running in centre Maintain a visible presence in all classrooms e.g. monitor engagement of learners, evidence of learning taking place, checking learner progress, support behaviour management issues, carry out learning walks Ensure punctuality of staff and learners Ensure teaching hours are adhered to and delivered Ensure schemes of work and lesson plans meet the requirements of examining / awarding bodies and are consistent with head office and other sites Planning, directing, coordinating and controlling the positions of all centre staff including time-tabling of delivery Identify training needs and make recommendations for training courses appropriate to the development of centre staff including L2 / 3 or minimum awarding body requirements in English, maths & ICT. Requirements : At least two years experience of supervising / delivering training or supporting young people (14-18) Teaching qualification PGCE, Cert Ed, C&G 7303, CTTLS, DTLLS ILM Level 5 / 7 Management Qualification CIPD Qualification TAQA or A1 / V1 Minimum 1 years experience in working in a Further Education Setting Please note : Only candidates with the relevant skills and experience will be contacted regarding this position Employee Benefits : 25 days holiday entitlement increasing to 30 with length of service Day off for your birthday Optional early finish at 2.30pm on a Friday Holiday Purchase Scheme, allowing you to purchase an additional 2 weeks holiday per year.
