Situated within the Corporate Property Team and reporting to the Head of Construction, FM & County Farms, the Senior Construction Project Manager plays a critical role in the infrastructure division. This role oversees a team of four Construction Project Managers and one Assistant Project Manager, providing strategic and operational oversight and leadership. The position is integral to driving the council's decarbonisation programme. Additionally, the post holder is responsible for approximately 100 live projects, some of which are part of complex programmes, and must coordinate and manage many appointed design consultants across these programmes. Therefore, the role requires significant experience in managing and delivering construction projects, as well as in coordinating large multidisciplinary design teams and managing budgets more than £10 million annually. This ensures effective delivery and collaboration among various departments and external stakeholders to achieve the council's strategic objectives.
