The Royal Veterinary College is the UK's largest and longest-established independent vet school and is a Member Institution of the University of London. The RVC offers undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in veterinary medicine, veterinary nursing, and biological sciences, and CPD programmes in veterinary medicine and veterinary nursing

We have an exciting and unique opportunity for an experienced small animal general practitioner with leadership / management experience to join our leadership team at the RVC in the newly created role of Director of General Practice. The RVC is the largest vet school in Europe and currently the number one vet school in the QS rankings. General Practice is a core part of our undergraduate teaching facilitated through our general practice sites in Camden and Bedford and with other external charity partners in London. We are looking for an experienced General Practitioner to join our clinical leadership team and provide strategic and operational direction for our small animal general practice sites ensuring they deliver first class teaching and client service as well as high quality clinical care. The successful applicant will also have the opportunity to work with academic colleagues from our educational and research / innovation teams to drive the discipline of general practice forward.

We are looking for a people focused leader with a strong clinical background as a small animal general practitioner and commercial experience managing general practice sites. A commitment to providing an excellent educational experience for our students is also essential and whilst additional experience with student teaching is desirable, training / support in this area will be provided to the right candidate.
