Job description

SHOWstudio is looking for a talented full-time Editorial Assistant to join our team.

Assisting our editorial department, this full-time role will suit a graduate from a fashion journalism or similar creative / arts degree who has a strong interest in writing and fashion image-making. The role requires strong organisational, communication and administration skills and an excellent command of the written word and a general curiosity to explore new ideas and learn new skills, including developing your writing, navigating CMS and live broadcasting.

The role is based in our London studio, five days a week with flexible availability needed on weekends during fashion week.

Duties include :

  • Writing and editing news and copy across sites.
  • Writing and editing articles for our News section
  • Ticket requests during fashion week
  • Research packs for live panel discussions
  • Helping with live panel discussions and other video / written content around collections
  • Researching and commissioning news features and new titles.
  • Includes reporting on events, shows and exhibitions (including virtual / digital).
  • Assist social teams

Profile :

  • Journalistic or copywriting experience.
  • Strong command of the written word.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to maintain a tight schedule.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Keen knowledge of SHOWstudio and our work.
  • Knowledge of influencers, creative directors and fashion ongoings.
  • Interest in photography, fashion and the arts. Competent knowledge of fashion image-makers, designers and brands is beneficial
  • Experience producing written or video content for social media channels or Online / print publications is beneficial
