About the role

Working on a zero-hours contract, you will be responsible for :

  • Discharging and loading all types of Cars, Vans and 4WD vehicles on and off ships
  • Discharging and loading Commercial Vehicles, Trucks, Buses / Bus Chassis on and off ships
  • Moving Cars within the Terminal and Car Compounds
  • Lashing / unlashing / wheel choking vehicles on board ships
  • Signalling and Guiding
  • Operating data capture scanners (RDTs)
  • Support the terminal staff in developing key skills in all aspects of the business

About you

We are looking for a skilled and reliable Automotive Operative to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate must hold a full UK driving licence (with no more than 3 points and held for at least 2 years), ensuring they can safely and efficiently carry out driving-related tasks. You should be a team player who also thrives when working independently, demonstrating strong initiative and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and customer service abilities are essential, as you will interact with both colleagues and customers daily.
