Decipher is delighted to be working with our Christchurch based client in their search for 2 maintenance engineers – one day shift and one night shift. As manufacturers agricultural products sold across the globe, they are the employer of choice for over 250 people at their Christchurch site.

They offer a competitive salary, and any additional shifts worked are paid at Averaging a 42-hour week, the shift pattern is 3 shifts on, 2 off, 2 shifts on, 3 off. This means every second weekend is a 3-day break, and every other week you will have a mid-week break. The shifts are 12 hours from 6 to 6.

The role
As a maintenance engineer you will be part of a team of highly experienced and committed tradesmen who are focused on ensuring the site runs smoothly – it will be a mix of repairs, preventative maintenance, plant installations and project work.
Their manufacturing site is purpose build, and they are on a journey of continuous improvement within their maintenance division. Their site manufactures and packs their products from raw material through to finished product, and utilise high-speed automated plant and mechanical plant.
Previous experience with pneumatics, PLC’s and hydraulics will be held in high regard.
