Job Title : Support Worker

Location : Great Ryburgh, Fakeneham, NR21 0ED

Salary : £12.32 to £12.58 per hour depending on qualifications

Hours : Full-time, 37.5 hours per week

Our freshly refurbished facility is equipped with modern, comfortable amenities, including an outdoor gym, arcade and newly decorated client spaces, creating a welcoming atmosphere where clients can thrive. We are looking for compassionate, dedicated, and motivated individuals to join our team as Support Workers / Senior support workers and Banks workers as we transition into our new service provision.

Role Overview :

As a Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in helping our residents achieve their goals and improve their quality of life. You will provide emotional and practical support in day-to-day activities, helping individuals develop their independence, build life skills, and work towards recovery. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team, working alongside mental health professionals to ensure the wellbeing of each individual.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Offer day-to-day support to residents with mental health conditions in a residential setting.
  • Assist with personal care, medication management, and promoting healthy lifestyles.
  • Support residents in developing their independence, social skills, and confidence.
  • Provide one-to-one and group activities that promote mental and emotional wellbeing.
  • Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to develop and implement person-centred care plans.
  • Record and monitor residents' progress, reporting any concerns to senior staff.
  • Encourage residents to engage in community activities and support them in accessing local services.

Key Requirements :

  • Previous experience in a similar role, working with individuals with mental health conditions (desired but not essential).
  • A compassionate, patient, and non-judgmental approach.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with clients.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • A commitment to promoting dignity, respect, and independence for residents.
